TRAINER PROFILE
Liz van der Louw-Stanley (LLB) is a highly experienced Legal English trainer who has been working in the Netherlands for over 20 years. Originally from the UK, she studied Law at the University of Kent and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. She qualified as a solicitor in 2001 after a two-year traineeship at a law firm in Kent, and subsequently gained experience in various areas of law while working for several firms across the UK.
Before relocating to the Netherlands in 2004, she earned her TESOL qualification, combining her legal background with a passion for teaching. Since then, she has established her own successful language training business, working with legal professionals to help them operate confidently and effectively in English.
With in-depth knowledge of both the UK and Dutch legal systems, Liz is uniquely positioned to support Dutch legal specialists in translating their expertise into English. Her teaching style is energetic and enthusiastic, and she is known for her patience, insight, and strong results-oriented approach. Her students consistently value her ability to create an engaging learning environment while helping them reach their full potential.
